Here at Vet Opps we will focus on ending homelessness among Veterans by providing solutions to long-term homeless individuals giving them back their dignity, respect and honor through means. What makes us special you ask? We will target homeless Veteran’s and empower them to and through recovery using our “5M” Recovery Model which is Maintenance, Motivation, Mission, Meaning, and Money.
We are not a shelter or limited transition home. While we are time limited, we are providing a way back as well as a way out. Shelters do address the immediate need (hand-out model) but because of funding and availability, the Veteran usually return to the streets never grasping a foot hold that only Veterans can give other Veterans—Peer Support can provide.
We have a Vision to use the “5M” Recovery Model, which is a combination of Peer Support, the Recovery Model, a safe place to live, to rebuild, reboot and restore Veterans to a productive empowered life of their choosing.
